I must begin by writing that I am very happy indeed with my purchase. Delivered in a smart gift box which works well for storing when not used, this pocket watch has an astonishingly beautiful, intricate and delicate design. In my opinion tasteful with a wonderful gold plating, it weighs more than you would expect, something demonstrating its mechanical excellence. The mechanics behind the watch are a marvel to survey and work splendidly. However, it needs to be wound daily (and careful not to over-wind it as it might damage the main spring) and that can be a hassle, sometimes. Though ultimately it merely adds to the experiece of owning such a beautiful watch. Personally, I am proud to own one.

A lovely watch that clips onto my wife’s handbag. Stylish, elegant and practical all in one – perfect. The ladybird wings snap into either open or closed position. The dial is clear and easy to read. Great value for money.

This watch was chosen by my son for his 18th birthday. I ordered it on a Friday morning and it was delivered (at no extra charge) on the following day! It’s lovely looking, has a nice weight to it and is solid. My son chose it because it’s beautiful and a little unusual – we did see some truly ugly pocket watches… I’m sure my son is going to love it for years to come.

i got asked for the time today, and she was suprised that i had a pocket watch instead of a wrist watch, or consulting my mobile phone for the time.

all told a fine timepiece for the money, and a good talking point..

also i know someone from leicester who works at sekonda so im happy that the quality is of a high standard.

This is my very first pocket watch and I’m delighted. I’ve never liked wrist watches as they feel so uncomfortable, but this little gem sits nicely in my shirt pocket and is so light it is hardly noticeable. The case has a small round central glass window so one can quickly tell the time without having to open the watch, as there are re Roman numerals engraved on the lid. I’ve always trusted Sekonda as I once visited a Swiss watch factory and they couldn’t find fault with my then cheap Sekonda wrist watch, which incidentally lasted me a great many years. Another nice feature of this watch is that the base is like a highly polished mirror, which might be usefull one day. The overall quality of craftsmanship seems pretty solid, especially the lid hinge which is so often a weak point, but not on this watch. The chain came with a firm pocket clip, not a T bar, which is better for anyone like me who doesn’t have a convenient button hole. Oh, and also the mechanism is extremely quiet, even to my exceptional hearing. It’s certainly not an annoying ticker.

Quality of the watch is what you would expect from Sekonda, bought for my son as a birthday present. Not intended as a milestone gift, just something he wanted.

Works fine, keeps good time, for the price, a good buy.

This is a lovely watch for the price, I was very impressed with the quality. My Son hates wearing a wrist watch and asked for one for Christmas. I was loath to buy an expensive one until I know he gets on ok with it, but this is as good as any other more expensive ones I have looked at in the shops.

See through glass panel so you dont have to open it to look at time and a nice sturdy chain.
